Rules & gear
Skate safe, race fair
The essentials every skater and parent should know before race day.
- A certified helmet is mandatory for every skater, in every race — no helmet, no start.
- Knee, elbow and wrist guards are required for all Kids categories and strongly recommended for everyone else.
- Only inline skates are allowed and they must be in safe working order.
- Use the wheel size for your age group (see the wheel size guide above). 125 mm wheels are not allowed in track races.
- Some races run in heats, depending on entries per category.
- Listen to the marshals at all times — their calls keep everyone safe on track.
- Arrive at least one hour before your first race to check in and warm up.
